Secret Agent Character Study
Secret Agent Man! I worked on this character study for the Secret Agent CG Society Challenge.
I am trying to incorporate scene elements and some amount of narrative to the sketches. This one is the first time I made a conscious effort to add a story. The next few days of sketches will, pardon the pun, illustrate that.
This speedpaint is basically the equivalent of a sketch but in painting form. I am fairly fond of the speed painting. I tried to imply a plastic nature to the character, after all his face is one of many that the character can take. They are masks, he/she can wear many. Very much a robot or android.
I am having trouble re-envisioning the whole scene for the Secret Agent image. My first attempt at the environment sketch was far from… well… good. I am rethinking the scene. I like the character idea, but need to come up with a more dynamic demonstration of the character.
So the original scene was of the secret agent coming home into a penthouse like home, one whole wall of faces/masks. In the foreground was a lady sitting legs crossed, in a very nice chair, reaching into a hand bag. All we really see of her is legs, arm and purse.
Now I am thinking more of the character in his retro roadster, the roadster is transforming from one style to another, and his face about to be changed over. A helicopter or other vehicle in chase. High energy, tons of motion, could be a really cool scene.

Morgan, possibly, though I doubt it never thought much of the King of Pop. More likely Humphry Bogart, or any of the old rat packers.
